Dear Gilan,
You were a person of quiet strength. You listened without judging, radiated calm, and remained positive even when others were already stressed. You made people feel that everything was a little bit easier, simply because you were there.
For us, you were so much more than just a colleague. You were one of those rare people we all wish we had in our lives: peaceful, sincere, warm-hearted. You never said a bad word. You were always helpful, always friendly, always there. Whether in the office next door, via Teams, or in between, when someone didn’t know what to do.
As IT support, you were exceptionally dedicated, reliable, and helpful. You did your work quietly and with great care and responsibility. Always with the honest desire to help others as best you could. It was precisely this attitude that made you so special. Your calmness, your patience, and the warmth with which you treated people. Especially in the service desk, we felt it every day: you not only solved problems, but also supported people and made them happy. With respect. With a calming aura that did us all good.
Many colleagues have openly said how much they appreciate you: for your commitment, your friendliness, your reliability, and above all for your humanity. And now that you can no longer be with us and we miss you terribly, we realize how big a place you have in our everyday lives and in our hearts.
It is incredibly difficult to comprehend that you are no longer here. That there will be no more “I’ll be right over,” no more quick smiles, no more calm “We can do this” or “That’s no problem.” We carry so many moments with you in our hearts: little phrases, glances, habits that suddenly hurt because we will miss them terribly. And yet, it is precisely these memories that will keep you in our hearts forever.
